The founder of our immigration law firm, Attorney Nash Fayad, has recently received the Asian Leadership Inspiration Award from the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce. This is one of the five “excellence in service” awards that the chamber recently presented at its fifth annual Asian Chamber Gala. The chamber also presented three “excellence in business” awards. The recognition of Attorney Fayad and the seven other award honorees was described in a recent Richmond Times Dispatch article.
According to the news article, about 300 people attended the gala, which was held at The Jefferson Hotel. Each of the excellence in service awards focused on different areas. In addition to Mr. Fayad’s Asian Leadership Inspiration Award, there was also the Economic Visionary Award, the Champion of Community Stewardship Award, the Champion of Business Diversity Award and the Champion of Business Journalism Award. The Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce’s chairman described all the award winners as individuals who play significant roles in the success of the organization, as well as in the success of the commonwealth of Virginia. The chamber is a nonprofit group that advocates for more than 44,500 Asian American companies in Virginia and other surrounding states and regions, according to the chamber’s website.
